How Sumak works
Four systems that turn every hectare into a living asset.
Water
We infiltrate at least 20% of annual runoff back into the aquifer: swales, filter dams, ponds and mandatory rainwater capture on every roof. Real-time aquifer monitoring.
Food forest
A seven-layer food forest, holistic grazing and nurse vegetation turn eroded soil into fruit trees, healthy pasture and living organic matter, growing year after year.
Technology
Soil-moisture sensors, a solar microgrid with batteries, fiber optics and monitoring drones. Technology as a condition of efficiency and verifiability — not as decoration.
Community
The ejido contributes the land and joins as a 10% partner with annual profit-sharing. Local sourcing, a free trades school, and over 100M pesos of local economic impact within the decade.
