TECH-ENABLED CABIN · OFF-GRID

We build your cabin wherever you like.

Cabins of straw, cob, adobe or wood — whichever material best fits your land. Off-grid from day one — solar or wind energy, rainwater harvesting, off-grid sanitation. To live in, to rest in, to rent out. Wherever there’s land, there’s a cabin.

WHAT WE DELIVER

A cabin isn’t a room out in the wild.
It’s a shelter that runs itself.

We design cabins meant to stand on their own — off the power grid, off the sewer, off the municipal water supply. The sun and the rain do the work; you just open the door and live.

Every cabin is bioclimatic for its region: solar orientation, cross ventilation, thermal insulation, noble materials. The same floor plan doesn’t perform the same in Yucatán as in Querétaro — we design it for your land.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Six systems. A cabin that runs itself.

Modular structure

Straw, cob, adobe or wood, depending on your land and climate. Engineered for your seismic and bioclimatic zone.

Solar or wind energy

Photovoltaics sized to real consumption, with battery backup. In windy areas, a complementary micro wind turbine.

Water harvesting

Roof + gutters + cistern + filter. One rainy season keeps the cabin supplied for much of the year.

Off-grid sanitation

Composting dry toilet or biodigester — no municipal sewer, no polluting septic tank. Zero discharge into the subsoil.

Bioclimatic insulation

Orientation, shading, cross ventilation and thermal insulation. The cabin stays cool by day and warm at night without air conditioning.

Optional connectivity

Satellite internet (Starlink) or rural LTE, depending on the site. So the wild doesn’t mean total disconnection unless you want it.

SMART AUTOMATION

The cabin works for you.

Everything is managed from your phone, and several functions run on their own by schedule or sensors. It looks after the place even when you’re away.

Smart locks

Lock and unlock without a key, from your phone or with a code.

Blinds

Open and close by schedule, remotely, or following the sun’s position.

Interior and exterior lighting

Control the cabin’s indoor and outdoor lights, by schedule or from your phone.

Automatic irrigation

If you have an orchard or garden.

Electrical devices

Turn any electrical device on and off: pump, fridge, whatever you plug in.

Cameras and IoT security

Surveillance of the property and its perimeter, door and motion sensors, real-time phone alerts, and defense systems (electric discharges, tear gas…).

MATERIALS

Four ways to build it.

Each material has its purpose. We help you choose the one that fits your land, your budget and the local climate.

Straw

Straw bales as a structural wall (straw-bale technique) or as infill within a timber frame, finished with earthen or lime plaster. Excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, near-zero footprint. Works in temperate and cold climates, with careful detailing against moisture.

Insulating · Temperate · 2-4 months

Cob

A hand-kneaded mix of clay soil, sand and straw, applied in layers without molds. Allows curved walls and organic shapes, monolithic, with no industrial energy. Labor-intensive — ideal for community-built processes.

Earth · Curved · 4-8 months

Adobe

Sun-dried raw-earth bricks, laid with mortar of the same clay. High thermal mass that stabilizes the indoor temperature — cool by day, warm at night. A millennia-old Mexican technique, ideal for climates with strong temperature swings.

Thermal mass · Dry · 3-6 months

Wood

Post-and-beam structure or light framing, with insulated walls. Warm both visually and thermally, low footprint if the wood is local and responsibly managed. Needs periodic maintenance against moisture and pests.

Temperate · Forest · 2-6 months

From

$550,000 MXN

We build it in wood, adobe or straw, depending on your land and climate. That base price applies to plots with road access near urban centers. We also build on dirt roads and remote locations, where the price goes up due to material transport and logistics.

THE CRAFT

A well-built cabin isn’t about escaping the world. It’s about building a place where the world doesn’t rule: the sun warms it, the rain fills the tank, the wind renews the air. You decide when to look outside.
